Aikido in Rome Trastevere
If you want to practice Aikido in Rome Trastevere, or are looking for Aikido classes for your kids, VedaVita is the right place!
Aikido is the evolution of the ancient Japanese martial arts, resulting from the researches of Master Morihei Ueshiba (1883 – 1969).
The word Aikido means literally “the way (do) to unify (ai) the forces (ki)”. In fact, the Aikido is a quest for union, harmony with the opponents and in general with others, to reach a state of harmony with the whole universe.
From a technical point of view Aikido is based on locks and throws but, differently from other martial arts, employs circular movements and it is not competitive.
The classes include the study of respiration, specific physical exercises preparatory to Aikido (aikitaiso), internal martial art exercises derived from Raja Yoga and weapon training with short staff (jo), wooden sword (boken), and knife (tanto)
